Welcome to another edition of fantastic fridays. On Fridays I recap some fantastic finds from around the world wide web.
great FABRIC: One of my dearest friends introduced me to Riley Blake a while back and I’ve completely fallen in love with pretty much anything she designs. Yesterday at ballet class a mother was working on an amazing quilt (oh to be a quilter!) with this fabric on the back It’s called Sunny Happy Skies…you know it has to be cute right? It was the most perfect fabric for a quilt back. Almost made me want to make one. I said…almost.
to whet your APPETITE: on the menu for dessert tonight…Lemonade Layer Cake. Although I’ll be honest and tell you that I think I’m going to just half the recipe and make it a small sheet cake. I’ll let you know how it goes!
be NATURAL and NEAT (as in organized): I seriously need to make one of these swiffer covers.
a TUTORIAL to do: a lovely tutorial on how to draw trees.
on AIMEE’s to do list (that’s me by the way): I’m shutting down the etsy shop for a couple of weeks while my kiddos are on Spring Break. My hope is to get caught up on at least a couple of personal projects for our home. Namely these darn ottomans that are screaming “recover me!!!!!!”
something to SEW: I’ve long loved the patterns that Meg from Sew Liberated designs, but this Aurelia Cardigan stole my heart. I just might have to break down and buy it to make for Easter.
oh, to TRAVEL: Indoor water park…oh my!
INSPIRATIONAL: One book that is totally changing how I respond to life and how I long to my children is The Jesus Storybook Bible. This article from the Gospel Coalition by the author of this Storybook Bible, Sally Lloyd Jones is beautiful. This life and my response to things should not be about me…it isn’t. It’s about Him.
CUTE: I stumbled upon September Willow’s etsy shop last week and just love these flower bobby pins. My birthday is coming up soon…hint hint 🙂
