Little Bird, Little Bird…

3 bobbin winds later, 1/4 spool of thread and 3 blocks down

Here is the bottom row:

Bottom Row Blocks 7-9

Here are close ups of the blocks:

Block9

I can admit that it’s nice to do “mindless” applique sewing, but honestly 3 blocks just about did me in, even with some good music playing. Only 4 more to do!

  1. This looks AWESOME! I must admit that I need your epertise when it comes to applique. I can’t seem to get my settings to wear the edges look professional and not “rick-racked” Do advise please!

I CANNOT wait to see this quilt. Is the bird design all yours. If so, very nice design by you! Live the sway in the belly look!

Man, am I happy to see this post!!

    When it rains, quilt!!!

    .mac 🙂

  2. Wow! It looks incredible! I love all the color and the girlyness to it! It does get a bit boring sewing all the birds!!! I added one extra row so it would be a bit longer and I wanted to bang my head on a wall for doing it. 😉 I love your applique…I ended up doing a looser applique so it would not be so time consuming but I do like the way that yours turned out! I will try and post pics soon…the big b-day party is tomorrow and I just finished the binding today at rest time (nothing like last minute). I cannot wait to see your quilt all finished!!! You can do it!!!
